Moving Forward The Tabernacle Baptist Church was the off spring of the Saint Paul Community Baptist Church which was organized in the year of 1925 in a church house on Boone Street, by Rev. T. M. Barber. With a membership of about twelve members, known as Annie McCree, Elloit and Lula Springs, Birtha and Mary Springs, Annie Avery and Family, Robert and Carrie David, John and Sally Abernathy, and Sam and Ben Waddell.
